This MIRF module is build with the AT86rf231 from Atmel. Its features are essential for a secure and fast operation. Both a Peer-to-Peer and also a Star network can be implemented. It uses the 2.4GHz licence free GSM band . It implements the IEEE 802.15.4 specifications. The onboard RF controller chip has the following features:
